We hired bikes today as this is much easier and cleaner was
of exploring Noirmoutier Island than driving and making the traffic jams even
worse than they already are! We cycled
North then West from the campsite via Le Vieil to a nice port village called
L’Herbaudière. We had some crèpes there for lunch and then cycled round to the
lovely beach at Luzéronde where we spent the afternoon. We cycled back via Norimoutier-en-L’Île where
we stopped for a beer and then we went back to the campsite for a shower and
quite possibly a meal with the worst service I have ever seen. It took 150 minutes to have one course!
